TURNING ON THE POWER AFTER THE STORM

Thursday, our community was hit by a tornado, and the electricity at the church was restored Saturday morning.  Some of our neighbors were still without power when we started worship Sunday morning.

So, I guess God wanted to emphasize the theme of the message He gave me because at a certain point in the sermon you’ll hear a gasp from the congregation then a moment of silence followed by me looking up to heaven and saying, “You’re a trip.”  That was the moment when the power went out and then came back on.

The title of the message is TURNING ON THE POWER AFTER THE STORM.

Please comment.

Listen well.

A MOVE IN THE MIDST OF THE STORM

What do you do when trouble comes suddenly like an unexpected storm?  Where is God when the problems persist and push you farther off-course and away from your dreams and goals?  The answers can be found in a new look at a familiar scripture.  Take a look at the accounts of Jesus walking on water and see how the storm can actually work to your advantage.

The title of the message is: A MOVE IN THE MIDST OF THE STORM.

COME ON IN & MAKE YOURSELF UN-COMFORTABLE

Hospitality is important in the South.  We take great pride in making other people feel comfortable; but, strange as it sounds, the Bible actually speaks of certain times when God wants us and others to be un-comfortable.

To understand the limits of Southern comfort and Christian hospitality, take a new look at the familiar story of Jonah in a message that invites you to COME ON IN & MAKE YOURSELF UN-COMFORTABLE.

Listen well.

HOW YOU BUILD A BETTER YOU

Most of us want to be better----- better husbands, better wives, better at our jobs, have better relationships, have better finances.  The demand for improvement creates an abundant supply of advice from everyone about how you can be better at being you.

But what advice does Jesus give?

In a brief parable Jesus, the master carpenter, provides a powerful framework for constructing the kind of life that you’ve been seeking.

Hear a message about the parable of the two builders and learn what the Word of God says about HOW YOU BUILD A BETTER YOU.

Listen well.
