A WORLD FULL OF HATERS

When I complained that life wasn't fair, the elder ladies in my family would say, "Baby, they killed Jesus!  You know they gone do you wrong."

You know?  Jesus said the same thing.

But the Lord went even further.  He explained why life isn't fair, why "they" do you so wrong.  Hear His explanation unfold in a sermon titled: A WORLD FULL OF HATERS.

Listen well.

ENOUGH IS NOT ENOUGH

Imagine a preacher had delivered the sermon, called for the closing hymn and dismissed the congregation.  But, as the people stood to leave, the preacher began to speak again, launching into a 3 chapter sermon and a long, long prayer.  How important would that sermon have to be to keep everyone in the room?  How powerful a collection of eternal truths would the text have to cover? How profoundly life-altering would the applications of that Word have to prove?  How good would that preacher have to be?

Hear the sermon about the sermon that was that good?

Turn to John chapter 15 for a message called: ENOUGH IS NOT ENOUGH.

Listen well.

YOU ALREADY KNOW THE ANSWER

Has anyone ever asked you a question right after you’d given them the answer to the question they just asked?  Why do they do that?  Why does the church do that?  In John 14, 3 disciples ask Jesus a set of questions which tested the Lord’s patience, but their questions and the Lord’s answers reveal important principles for Christians then and now.

We continue our sermonic journey through the book of John with a message titled: YOU ALREADY KNOW THE ANSWER.

WHEN YOU KNOW THEY ARE GOING TO DO YOU WRONG

You know how bad it feels after you learn that someone you trusted has done you wrong?  Well, Jesus understood the truth in people’s hearts before they spoke.  So imagine how the Lord felt knowing that the person smiling at His table was going to betray, deny, and abandon Him.  That’s what Jesus dealt with at the Last Supper, and that’s what the church is called to deal with.

The title of the sermon is: WHEN YOU KNOW THEY ARE GOING TO DO YOU WRONG.
